I’m excited to announce that yesterday I earned the endorsement of the Service Employees International Union-United Healthcare Workers West (SEIU-UHW).

SEIU-UHW is the largest union of healthcare workers in the western United States, with nearly 100,000 members. Their members are frontline caregivers, including respiratory care practitioners, dietary, environmental services and nursing staff who keep Californians healthy.

I won their endorsement because I have been a strong advocate for healthcare reform since the beginning of this campaign. Not only do I support universal healthcare on the national level, I support expanding access and lowering the costs of existing healthcare programs so that everyone can receive quality medical services and live healthy lives.
